Unpacking Philippians 3:12 - 14

According to the Bible God is seeking a few silly homo-sapiens for an experiment in the ragged edge-tolerances of undeserved divine kindness. I love it that the Maker is willing to allow us to be less than ideal, in the process of growth without just disintegrating us when we come up short. Personally I’d be done with the humans on planet #3 by now… I love it that God Himself has “taken hold of me” for something bigger than a brittle monochrome existence. He lives in color.
So, I desire to:
“Press On” (not the artificial nails)
“Grab hold, and grip tight”
“Forget the wreckage in the rear view mirror”
“Strain forward with Harley-like torque”
“Reach for the reward in His hand”
“Move Northward to where He’s got the party started”
The Jesus experience is situated well above religious philosophical thought, church attendance and nice deeds.
The Jesus experience is about a daily journey with this real person who knows us completely, at the subatomic soul level and yet is still wild about us.
