David Byrne Says

David Byrne was the singer for Talking Heads, a wonderful band. db.jpg David just did a review of the movie Jesus Camp, a film about some ultra right wing "christian" nut cases and a children's camp they run. From what I've found out so far the folks in the movie need to be put in the puzzle factory for a long rest in a well padded cubical. DB's review can give you a sad but unique look into how a not-follower of Jesus might view Christianity in the century 21.

Unfortunately, DB's view, like many folk's is that the most extremely bizarre mutations of "christianity" are representative of the average Christian's beliefs. It's strange to see how the media increasingly portrays Christians as evil, uneducated maniacs. In the late First Century and early Second Century the media of the day portrayed Christians as immoral, cannibalistic, atheists - history repeats. Jesus Camp will be worth talking about more after its full release - more to come...

tnkx Dan Kimball for the heads up
