Notes of Thanks

Last Sunday we celebrated Elevation's 6 month anniversary as a ministry. During our worship time we asked folks to write notes of encouragement to our Elder Board for having the courage to launch Elevation during a very difficult economic season in our church. Below are the notes they wrote - very encouraging and humbling!

To the Elder staff: Thank you gentlemen and loyal followers of Christ. What a gift you’ve given to all that attend worship & service here at Elevation. These nightly meetings with God have been uplifting and life changing. I pray that God blesses you all for your obedience and love for the Lord. In Christ

I’m a 46 year old, never been married, bachelor struggling to fit in. Elevation has helped with this struggle.

I never leave Elevation without truly being blessed! Omar is a wonderful worship leader and that is important to me. Chuckk speaks straight from the word and I always leave being challenged and truly blessed!

Thank you for a special service to come and worship with my sons. I love now they want to be here. I love worshipping with them!

Thank you for the courage to launch and support Elevation. The love of God is palpable when I walk into the room. Jesus becomes a reality. I’ve been so blessed.

This ministry has touched my heart. God is working through the staff that are always praying for me and encouraging me. I see God here working in an amazing way and it’s wonderful.

Hello Friends on SCBC leadership team: Elevation is an important refreshing reminder of my covenant with God to follow Jesus in all things and in holiness. Believing always - B.W.

Thank you for your vision and going out in faith to have elevation. Bless you all.

Thanks to Elevation and the Elders for providing a place where we can come with our kids, teen and adult and worship together.

Thank you for Celebrate Recovery. I love that church. I go for sobriety but I need Jesus.

Elevation has been a point of stability in a difficult time for our church. I appreciate the opportunity to interact w/ God’s truth an unconventional setting which allows me to capture truths that I might otherwise miss. I appreciate Chuckk’s ability to teach in a humorous engaging manner that is still passionately true to God and the Bible. Elevation cannot replace my being involved in the main service at SCBC and with Celebrate Recovery, but I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Elevation service for the ways that it fills me. – Dale B.

Elevation has helped me in countless ways and I am thankful going to this service has rekindled my faith in Christ and has made me put away my own plans and choose to walk his path. I look forward to learning my own way to spread faith and God’s word. Many thanks and God bless.

I thank GOD for showing himself to me here at elevation. The atmosphere allows me to feel God’s presence and makes it easier to accept His word and love… and that it is for me.

I have been blessed to attend Elevation and be encouraged to follow Christ and live a life of freedom in the glory of His grace.

I came home from Iraq three months ago and I cannot tell you what a blessing Elevation has been. I have felt like family here since the moment I walked in the door. I also appreciate the creative approach to doing church. –

Thank you Elder board for giving Chuckk the chance to launch Elevation. It is a unique worship experience, which offers many ways to connect with Jesus and worship Him. Thanks also for making Omar part of this great team.

Elevation has provided a much-needed place for people to connect to the Lord in ways that SCBC lacked. It is a wonderful addition to SCBC that is meeting needs of those who work all weekend and need a sense of community. I am thankful for the vision that Chuckk and Andrea were given by God and the bravery to go forward by them and SCbC to see the Lord working and speaking through Chuckk and the difference elevation has already made. God is at work through this unique ministry and I am excited to see the fruit that will come forth for SCBC. Praise the Lord.

Elevation has given both my husband and me community at church. We didn’t meet people during the AM services and I missed knowing people at my church. Through elevation and AfterHours we have made many friends and met God in new ways. We are so grateful for this community.

I just wanted to say thanks because elevation has helped me connect with God on a whole new level. Their worship is amazing and Chuckk is always challenging us every week in different ways to live for Christ.

Thank you…. Omar for leading me into genuine worship. Chuckk for teaching me the unedited word of God.

The Team for creating a beautiful worship place that reflects the Lord. Thank you for creating an environment that is challenging enough to step outside of my comfort zone but have it feel comfortable enough to not scare me away or feel judged.

Thank you for giving me a place where I don’t have to minister to any one, but can come and be ministered to. It’s open honest and raw and I love it.

I’m thankful for…. Chuckk, Omar, Matt. The Message, the music, once again I look forward to coming to church.

Thank you for listening to God’s calling in these difficult times and continuing to support Elevation. Chuckk, Omar the team and fellow believers have touched my life numerous times and help remind me what we have been called to do. This is and will continue to be a great ministry to those still seeking and who already know but continue to grow deeper in Jesus.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve at Elevation and attend meetings when I am able. Serving here has given me purpose during this time of unemployment

I am so thankful for this Sunday night services. I work Saturday nights and need to sleep Sunday mornings so I use to miss church. Once Elevation started I have been able to attend church regularly. I am so grateful I no longer feel guilty about my job. Thank you so much for creating a place that has allowed me to re-establish my walk with God. I feel total comfort in this environment and look forward to Sunday nights. Thank you!

Elevation is the first place I have found that is relatable and as a community for me since I graduated.

I am really thankful for elevation because I like to modern worship.

Thank you for having the faith to allowing divorce care to start up here. It’s blessed me already in its short changed lives. It’s bringing unsaved/unchurched fold. Praise God!

Although I am not new to the body this is my first time at this service. I felt the Holy Spirit in a way unusual in a church setting – an ease that invites and relaxes one who may have fear. A true blessing.
